Did you know that the ABOUT pages get the most traffic on a website, after the HOME page?

Why? Because buyers of your products and services want to KNOW, LIKE and TRUST the people they are doing business with. Apart from personal, local introductions, the ABOUT page may be the one chance you will have to showcase your brilliance to a prospective client.

“About Me” pages can run the gamut from personal histories (“when I was six we moved to Colorado . . . . “) to formal resume-like biographies.

I’d like to say there’s a standard template that everyone can use,  and there probably is, but if you expect action to result from your About page, you need to spend some time and care on it.

If you would like my help with your About page, you have two options:

1. Purchase my “Pick My Brain” service for $90, then we will schedule a one hour conversation to talk about, brainstorm, and give you suggestions for the page. I will record the conversation and send you the file for replay as you compose your page. (You may ask other questions about blogging and websites, also, during this hour.)

2. Done for You. Priced at $300, this includes a face-to-face meeting and review of any existing profiles/bios that you may have. I will ask you questions–lots of questions–to help define who your target website audience is. Along the way we’ll talk about you, you, YOU YOU YOU YOU! (Because your About page is going to be all about THEM.)

Afterwards I will write up your About page, plus your Home page if necessary. (They are often interrelated.)

I will send  your final approved copy in an easy-to-use format that you can email to your webmaster.

  • With the Done for You service, rewrites are complimentary (free) until you are satisfied. And if your situation changes such that you need to tweak it in the future, the cost will be very low since you are a preferred client.
  • Additional profiles, such as for LinkedIn and Facebook, that are based on your Done for You page, can be added for $50 each.  (But you can certainly just cut and paste to do it yourself!)
