Speakers Kits/Collateral

In 2006, I provided background information for my verbal introduction at a weekly PowerCore (networking) meeting. I was blown away as attorney Chuck Gabriel wove unrelated elements of my life into a funny, compelling intro that grabbed our colleagues’ attention.

Later, an introduction that I wrote for event planner Erica Prewett went viral. It was reprinted and used in a PowerCore training class, and a star was born. Or maybe a light bulb went off.

Not the best use of my talents.

Anyway, this recovering accountant turned Soccer Mom is now known as the “Short Attention Span Writer”. I know that nobody really reads what you write, but if they do, it had better be compelling. I show you  how to present speaking materials to prospective program chairs so yours does get read. And acted upon.

Program Chairs at civic and trade associations are delighted when prospective speakers offer well-prepared materials for their consideration

I put together compelling materials, and as a bonus, place them on a WordPress.org*  website for the convenience of the Program Chairs.  They can link to the materials from various social media platforms, and save on clerical time by directing people to the website rather than uploading and emailing files!

My speaking packages start at $800 and include:

  • biography (to be read with the eyes, and published on website or in newsletter)
  • program options menu of 3 to 5 speaking topics, to entice program chair to choose you
  • content sheets to support each topic, suitable to publish to entice membership to attend event
  • 60-second introduction (to be read aloud by the program chair, more personal than the bio)

(If you already have speaking materials and want to freshen them up or have a review, ask me for pricing details).
